RITE – Receiver-in-the-Ear (open fit & mini-RITE) most popular. Extremely comfortable & barely noticeable. Many patients report that they can’t even feel them in their ears.
BTE – with earmold. For those who require a lot more power in their hearing aids or for those people where vision or dexterity is an issue, it is a larger type of hearing aid.
Traditional Custom fit – require impressions. These hearing aids have been around the longest. The downfall is that you really notice them. Plus you can really feel them in your ears. ½ shell & CIC.
People are very successful with hearing aids when they have accepted their hearing loss & are committed to doing something about it by getting hearing aids. Hearing aids make a huge difference in peoples lives. You will be surprised how well the newer technology works for you. You have a world of sound waiting for you. Call now.
Batteries: Depending on the type of hearing aids you buy, how long you wear the hearing aids daily & the settings that are programmed into the hearing aids can vary. Some batteries can last anywhere from 3 – 5 days, 5 – 7 days, or 1- 2 weeks or more. Many people are surprised to find out that they don’t last as long as watch batteries. Remember that your hearing aids are computers & always open the door to shut them off when not in use to extend the life of your battery.
